Time To Act:

Many species are endangered due to several factors.  This includes loss of habitat, overexploitation, introduction of non-native species, pollution and disease.  While many well-known species such as african and asian elephants, blue whales, gorillas and tigers are endangered, so are 1000's of other species that are less well-known.  There are many species are extinct in the wild and critically endangered.

Why Save Endangered Species?

Plants-

Many medicines come from plants.  There are over 3000 identified plants that work to fight cancer cells.  There are over 120 perscription drugs that come from plants as well.  Unfortunetly, a very small percentage (about 4-5%) of plant species have been tested for medicinal purposes.  With over 100 species of plants going extinct every single day, we are losing a wealth of medicines that can save many lives.

Animals-

Each and every species plays a big role in the ecosystem.  They each fill a specific niche, and when one goes extinct, it forms a chain reaction causing others to follow in their footsteps. Eco-systems fuel many jobs. Once they are destroyed, the same thing will happen to many multi-billion dollar industries.

By donating just a few dollars, you are playing your part to help conserve wildlife. Everyone can make a difference.
